Pico Island

Pico Island, the second-largest in the Azores, is defined by its towering volcano, Mount Pico, the third-largest in the Atlantic. Just 6 km from Faial, Pico is also renowned for its rich culinary heritage, featuring seafood stews, octopus in wine, and the famous Queijo do Pico. Faial
Day Trip Via Ferry
Faial is known as the Blue Island thanks to its stunning hydrangeas. Discovered in 1427 and settled by Flemish colonists, it features breathtaking landscapes, with Cabeço Gordo at 1,043m offering panoramic views of the surrounding islands. Nature lovers will find Faial a perfect retreat, while its Horta Marina, a historic crossroads of cultures, remains a vibrant and welcoming hub.
You will take a local ferry on a quick 30 minute journey to Faial.
